Box Score Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team picked up their second straight home victory on Saturday evening, taking down Lindenwood 3-0. With the victory, SBU improves to 8-13 (3-10 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats cruised through the first set, 25-14, before taking two closer battles in the final two sets 25-20 and 25-22. SBU was led in kills by both
Mackynzi Gibson and
Taryn Marton who had 11 a piece, while Marton also added 9 digs in the win.
Payton White hit a strong .467 to go along with 7 kills, and
Kelsey Fankhauser picked up a game high 32 assists.
Hannah Blount continues to lead the Bearcats in digs, with 15, while
Katy Fitzpatrick also picked up 10 digs.
The Bearcats will hit the road next Friday, October 24 when they travel to Fort Hays. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Hays, Kansas.
