Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Women's Basketball team will hit the road on Saturday when they travel to Missouri Western for a game against the Griffons.
The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss in his third season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Voss has compiled a 135-72 career coaching record (27-40 at SBU), and has made two NAIA Final Four appearances while as head coach. Coach Voss comes to SBU after spending 5 years as the assistant women's basketball coach at Drake University.
Rob Edmisson is in his second season as the head coach at Missouri Western. Edmisson career coaching record stands at 514-150 after guiding Missouri Western to a 16-12 record last season.
Missouri Western leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 31-17. Missouri Western claimed a 71-64 victory over SBU last season at MWSU.
Scouting the Bearcats
After defeating Northwest Missouri 84-72, Southwest Baptist now stands at 7-7 (2-5 MIAA) on the season.
Brook Duncan leads the way for the Bearcats, averaging 14.4 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game, while
Jacqui Zelenka averages 13.0 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game.
Dilonna Johnson averages 8.1 ppg and 5.1 assists per game, while down low
Mackenzie Skupa averages 9.3 ppg and
Morgan Lucy averages 8.2 ppg.
Scouting the Griffons
Missouri Western comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 5-9 (1-7 MIAA) record on the season. Missouri Western is coming off of a 71-65 road loss to #8 Central Missouri.
