Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Women's Basketball team will head to Central Oklahoma on Saturday for a game against the Bronchos.
The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss in his third season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Voss has compiled a 134-71 career coaching record (26-39 at SBU), and has made two NAIA Final Four appearances while as head coach. Coach Voss comes to SBU after spending 5 years as the assistant women's basketball coach at Drake University.
Guy Hardaker is in his 8th season as the head coach at Central Oklahoma. Hardaker holds a career coaching record of 135-72.
The series between Southwest Baptist and Central Oklahoma is tied 5-5. SBU claimed last season's meeting 75-71 at SBU.
Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist stands at 6-6 (1-4 MIAA) on the season after falling at Northeastern State 60-47.
Brook Duncan leads the way for the Bearcats, averaging 15.5 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game, while
Jacqui Zelenka averages 12.4 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game.
Dilonna Johnson averages 8.0 ppg and 4.8 assists per game, while
Mackenzie Skupa averages 9.3 ppg.
Scouting the Bronchos
Central Oklahoma currently stands at 8-5 (3-3 MIAA) after coming off of a 62-60 victory against Missouri Southern.
Jill Bryan leads the way offensively for UCO, averaging 14.8 ppg. Julia Mason is the only other Bronchos in double-figures averaging 11.1 ppg, while Olivia Mason averages a team high 6.2 rpg.
