Box Score Emporia, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team lost a heartbreaker at Emporia State on Friday evening, losing the contest 1-0.
The Bearcats and Lady Hornets played a tight contest, going into the half at a 0-0 tie. Both teams continued to play strong defense before Emporia State put the game winning goal into the net with less than six minutes remaining in the game. Paige Hemphill picked up 7 saves in the contest.
SBU will continue their road trip on Sunday, September 29 when they travel to Washburn. The game is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. from Topeka, Kansas.
