Box Score Liberty, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team fell in a non-conference match against William Jewell College on Tuesday evening in Liberty, 2-0.
The Bearcats and Cardinals played to a 0-0 tie through the first half, but William Jewell was able to break the tie in the 56th minute, and then add to their lead in the 60th minute, as SBU would eventually fall 2-0.
Lajos Zadravecz had his first career start in goal, allowing two goals while picking up five saves in the contest. As a team, the Bearcats got off 12 shots, with 9 coming on goal, but were unable to put any into the back of the net.
SBU will return to action on Friday, September 27 when they travel to Upper Iowa for an MIAA match. The game is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from Fayette, Iowa.
