Box Score Quincy, Ill. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team fell to Quincy University on Tuesday night 6-2.
Quincy jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first half before the Bearcats got on the scoreboard. At the 23:30 mark in the first half
Garrett Gibson had a touch pass to Colten Harden who directed the ball to Jordan Schaeffer. Schaeffer knocked the ball in from 8 yards out to cut the lead to 3-1.
In the beginning of the second half, the Bearcats cut the lead down to one. At the 49:18 mark in the second half
Garrett Gibson hit a header from the right via
Nathan Fraley to cut the lead to 3-2. However, Quincy would score three unanswered goals as SBU fell 6-2.
The Bearcats are back in action Saturday, September 14 when they travel to Oakland City, Indiana for a match-up against Oakland City. The game is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
