Surprise, Ariz. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team advanced to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships today with a 5-1 win over Indiana (Pa).
SBU jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles play, as the Bearcats won at #1 and #2 doubles with the doubles teams of
Fanni Varga/
Christina Zentai and
Adrienn Kovacs/
Faiga Schmidt collecting victories. The Bearcats sealed the win with singles victories from
Fanni Varga,
Mehak Singh, and
Christina Zentai.
The Bearcats will now take on Hawaii Pacific in an Elite Eight match-up. The match is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, May 9.
