Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist senior tennis player, Domingos Carissimo, continues to pile on the post-season awards. Carissimo has been named to the Capital One District 7 Academic All-District® Team as announced by the organization yesterday. Carissimo was earlier named the Central Regional Senior Player of the Year by ITA.

Carissimo went 19-1 from the #1 singles position this year, and was a combined 19-3 from the #1 and #2 doubles positions. Carissimo was named MIAA Player of the Year, as well as being named All-MIAA 1st team in both #1 singles and #2 doubles.

Carissimo will now move on to the national ballot where he will be nominated for the Capital One Academic All-American® Team.
