Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University softball team fell in a double-header against Lindenwood on Friday afternoon in Bolivar. The Bearcats dropped game one 0-4 and game two 0-11.
In game one starting pitcher
Lyndie Routh pitched a solid game in the circle, throwing a complete game while allowing three earned runs to go along with seven strikeouts. The Bearcats were able to get runners into scoring position multiple times, but were unable to push any of them across the plate, as they ended up falling 0-4 in game one.
Caitlyn Cooner led the way at the plate, collecting two hits in the loss. In game two the Bearcats fell 0-11.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, April 6 when they are set to host Truman State. Opening pitch of the double-header is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from the SBU Softball Field.
