Pittsburg, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University softball team fell in a double-header at Pittsburg State on Sunday afternoon, losing game one 8-0 followed by a 9-0 game two loss.
The Bearcats had a strong hitting performance from
Stef Lischke who went 4-6 on the day, including a 3-3 effort in game two.
Londyn Backfisch picked up two hits for SBU, while
Caitlyn Cooner and
Lyndie Routh both had one hit on the day.
The Bearcats will close out their season on Monday, April 29 when they travel to Missouri Southern to take on the Lions. Opening pitch of the double header is set for 3:00 p.m. from Joplin, Missouri.
