Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team advanced to the semi-finals of the MIAA Women's Tennis Championship.with a 5-0 victory over Fort Hays on Friday afternoon.
The Bearcats swept all three doubles matches, with victories coming from
Fanni Varga/
Christina Zentai,
Adrienn Kovacs/
Faiga Schmidt, and
Mehak Singh/
Andjela Panovski. The Bearcats then recieved singles victories from Varga and Zentai to clinch the victory.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, March 20 when they will battle Northwest Missouri in the semi-finals. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri.
