Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team advanced to the finals of the MIAA Men's Tennis Championships with a 5-4 victory over #38 Washburn on Saturday.
The Bearcats once again had solid doubles play with victories coming from the doubles teams of
Kristof Kinal/
Omar El Kheshen and
Domingos Carissimo/
Daniel Cardona. The Bearcats also received singles victories from
Kristof Kinal and
Daniel Cardona before Domigos Carissimo would win his singles match to give SBU the 5-4 victory.
SBU is now set to take on Northwest Missouri in the finals on Sunday. Play is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. from the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
