Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team took down Emporia State in the first round of the MIAA Men's Tennis Championships on Friday afternoon, coming away with a 5-0 victory.
The Bearcats swept the doubles competition, with

Domingos Carissimo/
Daniel Cardona, and
Alex Belote/
Guido Margiotta all claiming doubles victory. The Bearcats finished off the hornets with singles victories from Carissimo and El Kheshen.
SBU will move on to face #2 seeded Washburn in the semi-finals on Saturday. The Bearcats and Ichabods are set to begin play at 9:00 a.m. from the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri.
