SBU Women's Tennis Wins 13th Straight Match with 5-4 Victory over Northeastern State

Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team won their 13th straight match on Saturday afternoon in Springfield, taking down Northeastern State 5-4. With the victory SBU moves to 13-0 (7-0 MIAA) on the season.

The Bearcats started things off by taking three of three from the doubles matches with Fanni Varga/Christina Zentai winning 8-3, Adrienn Kovacs/Faiga Schmidt winning 8-5 and Mehak Singh/Andjela Panovski winning 8-1. Singles victories came from Varga and Zentai as SBU went on to a 5-4 victory.

The Bearcats return to action on Friday, March 29 when they go up against Emporia State. The match is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. from the SBU Tennis courts in Bolivar, Missouri.
