Bolivar, Mo. - SBU will close out their 2012-13 regular season action at Missouri Western on Saturday. The Bearcats are still battling to host a first round MIAA Tournament game, and come into the game against the Griffons 9-16 (7-10 MIAA).
The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot is in his ninth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles and compiled a 165-96 (.632) record. Coach Guiot is the winningest coach in SBU history, has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and has three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Missouri Western head men's basketball coach Tom Smith begins his 25th season at Missouri Western and his 38th season as a collegiate head coach in 2012-2013. Smith holds a career record of 608-446 (438-262 at MWSU).
Missouri Western leads the all-time series against the Bearcats 47-28, with Missouri Western claiming an 78-58 victory last season against SBU.
Scouting the Bearcats
SBU closes out the regular season portion of the schedule against Missouri Western on Saturday. The Bearcats are led in scoring by
