Bolivar, Mo. - SBU will open up a four game road trip starting off at Missouri Southern on Thursday. The Bearcats are coming off of a 50-64 loss against #22 Truman State.
The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss in his second season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Voss has compiled a 126-59 (.681) career collegiate coaching record (18-27 at SBU), and has made two NAIA Final Four appearances while as head coach. Coach Voss comes to SBU after spending 5 years as the assistant women's basketball coach at Drake University.
Maryann Mitts has compiled a 175-132 (.570) record in 11 years with the Lions. She holds a 258-188 (.578) mark in 17 years as a collegiate head coach. Mitts currently ranks amongst the Top 50 of all Division II active coaches in all-time victories.
Missouri Southern leads the all-time series against the Bearcats 38-20. SBU claimed two victories against the Lions last year, 63-56 at MSSU and 61-59 at SBU.
Scouting the Bearcats
SBU will hit the road for a four game road trip starting off at MSSU on Thursday. SBU is led in scoring and rebounding by
