Bolivar, Mo. - Preston Guiot gave SBU his second straight double-double, but it wasn't enough as the Bearcats fell to the Mules of Central Missouri 91-108 on Saturday evening.

Central Missouri came out shooting the ball well, going up 13-0 to start the game. The Bearcats would battle back from the early deficit, going on a 10-0 run to pull within six at 17-23. The Mules pushed their lead back to double-figures, but once again SBU cut the lead back to 6 at 34-40 with 2:43 left in the half. However Central Missouri would end up taking a 52-37 lead going into the break. The Bearcats were unable to overcome the deficit, as they fell 91-108.

Preston Guiot had his second straight double-double for the Bearcats, scoring 22 points, while hitting five three's, to go along with 11 assists. Damion Hooks had a team high 27 points down low, while Gilbert Gyamfi chimed in with 10 off of the bench. As a team, SBU shot 55.4% from the field, 55.6% from beyond the arc, and 76.0% from the free throw line.

The Bearcats will wrap up regular season action on Saturday, March 2 when they travel to take on Missouri Western. Tip from St. Joseph, Missouri is set for 3:30 p.m.
