Bolivar, Mo. - SBU will close out their 2012-13 home portion of the schedule when they face #7 Central Missouri on Saturday. The Bearcats are coming off of a 61-73 loss to Lincoln, and are now 10-14 (5-11 MIAA).
The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss in his second season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Voss has compiled a 127-63 (.668) career collegiate coaching record (19-31 at SBU), and has made two NAIA Final Four appearances while as head coach. Coach Voss comes to SBU after spending 5 years as the assistant women's basketball coach at Drake University.
Dave Slifer has a 154-92 record on the UCM sideline, and a 537-191 record during his 24-year coaching career. He currently ranks seventh among active coaches at the Division II level in total wins, and is one of just seven active coaches to reach the 500 wins mark.
UCM leads the all-time series against the Bearcats 48-11, with the Jennies claiming a 66-63 victory at UCM earlier this year.
Scouting the Bearcats
SBU will host Central Missouri in their final home contest of teh season. SBU is led in scoring and rebounding by
Jacqui Zelenka who averages 13.4 ppg and 10.5 rpg. The Bearcats support a balanced offense with four different players averaging over nine points per game:

Scouting the Jennies
Central Missouri comes into the game with a 21-2 (13-2 MIAA) record. UCM is led in scoring by Keuna Flax who averages 20.9 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game. The Jennies have two other players averages double figures in BreAnna Lewis (16.2 ppg), and Nicole Caddell (13.3 ppg and 10.2 rpg).
