Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will break away from MIAA play when they host William Jewell College on Saturday evening in Bolivar.
The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot in his tenth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 173-104 (.625) record. Coach Guiot is the winningest coach in SBU history, has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and has three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Larry Holley is in his 35th season as the head coach of the Cardinals. Holley has received 14 Coach of the Year awards and has a career coaching record at Jewell is 757-367 (.673).
The all-time series between Southwest Baptist and William Jewell is tied 2-2. Jewell claimed the last meeting between the two schools, back in the 1984-85 season, 68-55.
Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats pulled even in MIAA play with a 96-93 victory over Nebraska-Kearney their last time out. SBU now moves to 7-3 (1-1 MIAA) on the season.

Rashaad Brown-Peterson who averages 18.9 points per game, while
Desi Barmore averages 17.4 ppg and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Derrick Stewart averages 12.3 points per game, hitting a team high 28 three's, while

Scouting the Cardinals
William Jewell comes into the contest against Southwest Baptist with a 4-3 record, including a 1-2 record against MIAA schools. Jewell is coming off of a 104-53 victory over Central Christian College of the Bible, and are riding a 3-game win streak.
Jewell is lead in scoring by Jordan Lewis who is averaging 17.9 points per game. D'vante Mosby averages a team high 8.6 rebounds per game to go along with 10.7 ppg, while Devonte Bell (17.3 ppg) and Dwight Sistrunk (12.1) both average double figures in scoring.
