Box Score St. Joseph, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team fell on the road to Missouri Western on Thursday night 3-0. In the loss
Hannah Blount picked up 17 digs, breaking the single season digs record.
SBU fell in the match 25-22, 25-17, 25-21 and now moves to 17-13 (6-9 MIAA) on the season. Blount led the way for SBU in digs with 17 while
Katy Fitzpatrick had 10 digs followed by
Kaitlyn Allison and
Kelsey Fankhauser who both had 8. Fankhauser also led the Bearcats in assists, giving SBU 25 on the evening.
Jordan Nedbalek led SBU with 7 kills and
Nikki Madoch and
Jenna Isaacs both had 6.
The Bearcats will close out their regular season on the road at Northwest Missouri on Friday, November 15 as they look to secure a spot in the MIAA Postseason Tournament. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Maryville, Missouri.
