Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's basketball team fell at the hands of #8 Drury on Tuesday evening, 97-70.
DU came strong out of the gates, jumping out to a 10-0 lead, and went into halftime up 44-27. The Panthers extended their lead in the second half, as SBU would end up dropping the game 97-70.
SBU was led in scoring by
Derrick Stewart who had 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting from the floor.
Rashaad Brown-Peterson had 15 points, while
Desi Barmore added 10 in the loss. As a team SBU shot 42.6% from the field, 25.0% from beyond the arc, and 54.5% from the free throw line.
SBU will return to action on Tuesday, November 19 when they host Missouri S&T. Tip-off against the Miners is set for 7:30 from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
