Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team had a dominating performance on Tuesday evening in Bolivar, defeating Avila 3-0. The Bearcats won each set with ease, taking set one 25-12, set two 25-14, and set three 25-16.
As a team the Bearcats hit .352 on the evening, with
Jordan Nedbalek leading the way by hitting .588 with 11 kills.
Nikki Madoch continued her strong sophomore campaign with a team high 14 kills, while
Taryn Marton collected 12 kills and 10 digs for her third straight double-double.
Hannah Blount continues to lead the SBU backcourt with 24 digs, while
Kelsey Beyer also had 10 digs.
Kelsey Fankhauser continues to handle the setting duties for the Bearcats, picking up 40 assists in the victory.
The Bearcats will hit the road this weekend as they travel to Joplin, Missouri for the Missouri Southern Crossover. The Bearcats will take on Harding on Friday, October 11 at 12:00 p.m. followed by matches against South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and East Central on Saturday.
