Box Score Bethany, Okla. - The SBU women's soccer team continued their winning ways on Monday evening as SBU defeated Southern Nazarene 2-0. With the win, the Bearcats move to 6-4-1 on the season, while Southern Nazarene falls to 6-4.
The Bearcats wasted no time getting on the scoreboard in the first half when
Amanda White connected on an
Karla Jamison pass and placed it in the left side of the goal to give SBU a 1-0 lead. Southwest Baptist would add to their lead in the 45th minute when
Brittany Marino scored her first career goal to give SBU a 2-0 advantage.
The two goals were more than enough for goalkeeper
Paige Hemphill who recorded a shutout for SBU while collecting 3 saves on the evening.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Saturday, October 12 when they host Missouri Southern. The game is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. (noon) from the SBU Soccer Field.
