Box Score Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Volleyball team picked up their second straight MIAA victory on Saturday evening, defeating Missouri Western 3-0. The Bearcats defeated the Griffons in straight sets, 25-17, 25-17, and 26-24.

The Bearcats looked dominate throughout, picking up their first 3-0 sweep on an MIAA opponent since 2011. Taryn Marton continues to play well for SBU, giving the Bearcats her second career double-double with a team high 12 kills to go along with 16 digs. Mackynzi Gibson also had double-digit kills for SBU, picking up 12, while Kelsey Fankhauser continues to handle the setting duties with 38 assists to go along with 10 digs. Nikki Madoch picked up 8 kills while hitting a game high .389, and Hannah Blount had a game high 24 digs.

The Bearcats will continue their home stand on Tuesday, October 8 when they are set to host Avila University. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
