Box Score Hays, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team dropped a close 3-1 match to Fort Hays on Saturday afternoon. 

The Bearcats fell behind 2-0 after dropping the first two sets 24-26 and 22-25. SBU fought back to take set three 26-24 before falling in the deciding set 28-26. McKinley Chesley and Jenna Isaacs both recorded double-digit kills (Chesley 13, Isaacs 12), while Jordan Nedbalek and Nikki Madoch both had 7 kills a piece. Chesley had a double-double, adding 11 digs, while Hannah Blount had 37 digs and Kaitlyn Allison had 11. Kelsey Fankhauser picked up 38 assists to go along with 5 digs in the loss.

SBU will return home on Friday, November 1 when they play host to #3 Central Missouri. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
