Box Score Tahlequah, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team lost a tough contest against Northeastern State on Friday evening, falling 2-1 in overtime against the Riverhawks.
Northeastern State jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute off of a goal from Lindsey Latta. SBU responded with a goal of their own in the 31st minute when
Karla Jamison dribbled through traffic to tie the game up at 1-1. From that point forward, both defenses buckled down as the game would remain tied through regulation. However in overtime, NSU's Elizabeth Cudjoe broke the tie with a goal as Southwest Baptist fell 2-1 in the contest.
SBU will return to action on Sunday, October 20 when they travel to take on Central Oklahoma. The game is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. from Edmond, Okla.
