Bolivar, Mo. - SBU is set to play their second straight MIAA TV Game of the Week when they travel to Fort Hays to take on the Tigers. The Bearcats are coming off of a 63-17 loss on the road against #23 Emporia State. SBU quarterback

Craig Schuler continues his first season on the Bearcat bench after coming to SBU from Lindenwood University. Coach Schuler completed his ninth year as an assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Lindenwood this past season where he also served as recruiting coordinator. Schuler led one of the most prolific offenses in the nation during his tenure at Lindenwood, including averaging 45 points per game since the beginning of the 2009 season (45-game stretch). In 2010 Schuler's offense averaged a national record 8.94 yards per snap.
Chris Brown is in his third season on the bench for Fort Hays State. Brown holds a school and career coaching record of 9-13.
The series between Fort Hays and Southwest Baptist is tied 2-2. FHSU claimed the last meeting, 37-34 in overtime, at SBU in 2012.
Fort Hays State comes into the game against the Bearcats with a 2-4 (1-4 MIAA) record and have won their last two games. The Tigers present a balanced offensive attack, averaging 166.7 rushing yards per game and 189.2 passing yards per game. Andre Smith leads the Tigers on the ground, averaging 85.5 yards per game. Quarterback Treveon Albert averages 170.0 passing yards per game, as well as averaging 53.5 rushing yards per game, and has accounted for 11 touchdowns this season. On defense, Justin McPhail leads the way with 52 total tackles and a team high 2.0 sacks.
