Hays, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University men's basketball team fell to the Tigers of Fort Hays on Wednesday evening 59-74.
SBU started off the game with a layup from
Damion Hooks from
Preston Guiot before Fort Hays began to slowly build a lead. Fort Hays would go into halftime up 26-40. Fort Hays would maintain their lead throughout the second half as SBU dropped the contest 59-74.
Rashaad Brown-Peterson led the Bearcat offense attack with 14 points while also adding 8 rebounds in the loss.
Damion Hooks and
Jalen Loving both gave SBU 11 points, while
Preston Guiot scored 8 points and dished out 8 assists in the loss. As a team SBU shot 35.0% from the field, 31.8% from beyond the arc, and 71.4% from the free throw line.
SBU will return home on Tuesday, January 22 for a match-up with the Bearcats of Northwest Missouri. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
