9/28/2012 9:54:00 PM

Warrensburg, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team played a tough game against Central Missouri on Friday night, losing the contest 2-1. The Bearcats played a competitive game against the undefeated Jennies, but weren't able to pull out the victory at the end of regulation.

The Jennies jumped out to an early 1-0 in the first half before SBU fought back. Kate Jamison knocked in her second goal of the season off of a long free kick from about 20 yards out, courtesy of Ashley Creason, to pull even with Central Missouri at 1-1. The game would remain tied 1-1 through the remainder of the first half, while the Jennies put up a second half goal to go on to the 2-1 victory.

The Bearcats will be back in action on Sunday, October 7 when they travel to Missouri Southern to take on the Lions. The game is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. from Joplin, Missouri.
