Pittsburg, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team dropped their matchup against Pittsburg State on Wednesday night 3-1. Pittsburg State took the first two sets 25-11 and 25-17 before SBU took set three 25-21, but the Gorillas took the final set 25-20.
The Bearcats were led in kills by
Jordan Nedbalek with 14, while Nedbalek hit .345 on the night.
Carrie Johnson and
Mackynzi Gibson also gave SBU a solid number of kills with 11 and 9 respectively. Gibson also had 10 digs on the evening, while
Kaitlyn Allison led SBU in digs with 19.
Kelsey Fankhauser led the SBU setters on the evening, with 33 assists.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Friday, September 28th when they take on the Bearcats of Northwest Missouri. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Maryville, Missouri.
