Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team had a physical match-up against Truman State on Saturday afternoon, dropping the game 2-0.
The Bearcats had opportunities throughout the game, and played excellent defense, but Truman State was able to come away with a 2-0 victory. Truman State scored their first goal three minutes in, and would add another at the 66:07 mark in the second half. SBU was outshot by Truman State 16-8, but goalie Austin Hawyood collected 5 saves in the loss.
The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, September 23 when they travel to Blue River CC. The game is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
