Bethany, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team dropped a tough road match-up against Southern Nazarene on Friday night, losing 3-1. Southern Nazarene took the first set 25-18 before SBU came back with the second set 25-22. However Southern Nazarene took the final two sets 25-17 and 25-20 to claim the victory.
Carrie Johnson and
Jordan Nedbalek led the Bearcats with 9 kills a piece, while Nedbalek hit .444 on the evening.
Kaitlyn Allison continued to be a strong back court player for SBU, collecting a game high 23 digs while Hannah Blout collected 12 and
Whitney Miller 10. Miller capped off her first double-double of the season with 16 assists to go along with her 10 digs, while
Kelsey Fankhauser had 13 assists in the loss.
The Bearcats will continue their road trip with a visit to William Jewell College on Saturday, September 22. The game is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. from Liberty, Missouri.
