Megan Link Records 3rd Shutout of the Season, Jamison Scores Goal in 1-0 Victory Over Nebraska-Kearney

Kearney, Neb. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team opened up MIAA play on Friday evening with a 1-0 victory over Nebraska-Kearney. Megan Link was once again outstanding in goal, recording her third shutout in six games this season while Karla Jamison scored her team high third goal of the season.

Karla Jamison recorded the only score in the 1-0 victory for SBU, knocking in a goal from inside the box at the 26:16 mark in the first half. Kate Jamison fed it to her for second assist on the season. Megan Link played the entire 90 minutes of the game, recording 7 saves in goal.

With the victory, SBU moves to 4-2 (1-0 MIAA) on the season while Nebraska-Kearney falls to 4-2 (0-1 MIAA).

The Bearcats will be back in action on Sunday, September 16th when they travel to takes on Fort Hays. The game is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. from Hays, Kansas.
