Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team ran into a tough match-up on Friday evening, losing to #8 Central Missouri 3-0. The Jennies took all three sets by a score of 17-25, 16-25, 25-27.
The Bearcats were led in hitting by
Carrie Johnson who recorded 8 kills while
Mackynzi Gibson gave SBU 7.
Whitney Miller and
Kelsey Fankhauser split the setting duties with Miller recording 13 assists and Fankhauser 15. In the backcourt Briana Goforth led SBU in digs for the first time this season with 15, followed by Gibson who had 7.
SBU will be back in action on Saturday, September 15 when they host Truman State. The match is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
