"We're very proud of our players this weekend," head coach Kelly Richardson stated after the tournament. "It took us a while to settle in, but once we did we saw great things. We're especially excited about the versatility of our team. It makes our program much more deep. All of our players stepped up this weekend, but we saw our junior class really into their own. All three juniors showed they will be a force to be reckoned with. Players were given opportunities this weekend, and really took advantage. We look forward to getting back on the court next week and going to work."
The Bearcats will be back in action on Friday, September 7th in the SBU Purple Bash Tournament. The Bearcats are set to play Northwestern Oklahoma State University at 11:30 a.m., followed by Drury University at 6:00 p.m.
