Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team closed out the 2012 season on Monday afternoon when they lost to Cameron University 5-2 in the NCAA South Central Regional.

The Bearcats fell behind early when Cameron took two of three doubles matches, and then claimed the victory by taking three of four completed singles matches as CU went on to win 5-2. The Bearcats saw victories from the doubles team of Andjela Panovski and Crystal Guiot, and had a singles victory from Faiga Schmidt.

The Bearcats finished a very successful season 22-3 and claimed both the MIAA regular season and tournament victories.
