Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University softball team begins an 8 game road trip on Tuesday when they travel to Evangel for a double-header with the Crusaders. The Bearcats then return to MIAA action on Friday and Saturday, looking to solidify their spot in the MIAA post-season tournament. The Bearcats currently stand in 7th place in the MIAA, with the top 8 schools making the conference tournament which is held on April 26-28.

The Bearcats have a strong presence in the MIAA statistical rankings in both hitting and pitching.
BreAnn Proctor ranks 8th in the conference in batting average and 6th in the conference in triples,
Taylor Atwood ranks 8th in the conference in doubles, and
Rhiannon Mendez ranks 6th in the conference in hit by pitch.
Jessica Colliver leads the Bearcats in multiple pitching categories including 4th in innings pitched and 11th in strikeouts. Defensively,
Taylor Atwood is tied for 5th in runners thrown out stealing.
