Kansas City, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team advanced to the 2012 MIAA Women's Tennis Tournament Finals by defeating Emporia State 5-0 on Saturday.

The Bearcats swept the doubles matches with ease, before taking the first two singles matches to be completed to go on to the 5-0 victory. Singles victories came from Fanni Varga and Adrienn Kovacs, while doubles victories came from the teams of Varga/Mehak Singh, Kovacs/Faiga Schmidt, and Andjela Panovski/Crystal Guiot.

The Bearcats will face Northwest Missouri in the finals of the 2012 MIAA Women's Tennis Tournament. The match is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. from the Plaza Tennis Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
