Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University softball team will finish up regular season play this week, starting off against Missouri Southern on Wednesday, and finishing up the week at Lindenwood and at Lincoln.

The Bearcats are currently sitting in 9th place in the MIAA standings, only one game out of 8th place and a berth into the MIAA Conference Tournament.

SBU is set to host Missouri Southern on Wednesday, April 18 for SBU Senior Day. Be sure to come out an support your Bearcats seniors!

The Bearcats have a strong presence in the MIAA statistical rankings in both hitting and pitching.  BreAnn Proctor ranks 7th in the conference in triples, Taylor Atwood ranks 15th in the conference in doubles, and Rhiannon Mendez ranks 4th in the conference in hit by pitch.

Jessica Colliver leads the Bearcats in multiple pitching categories including 4th in innings pitched, 11th in strikeouts, and 15th in earned run average. Alexa Harvey ranks 14th in earned run average, and Alex Abernathy ranks 2nd in saves. Defensively, Taylor Atwood is tied for 9th in runners thrown out stealing.
