Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Softball team will wrap up their home season this weekend with a double-header against Pittsburg State on Friday, followed by a double-header against Missouri Southern on Saturday.

The Friday match-up with Pittsburg State will be the first annual "Think Pink" SBU Softball game. Half of all proceeds from the SBU Think Pink T-Shirt sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society, as well as all proceeds from the "pass the helmet" donation which will occur in between games.

The 2012 Bearcat Softball Senior Day will be on Saturday where all three seniors will be recognized.

SBU Ranking in the MIAA
The Bearcats have a strong presence in the MIAA statistical rankings in both hitting and pitching.  BreAnn Proctor ranks 7th in the conference in triples, Taylor Atwood ranks 9th in the conference in doubles, and Rhiannon Mendez ranks 4th in the conference in hit by pitch.

Jessica Colliver leads the Bearcats in multiple pitching categories including 3rd in innings pitched, 10th in strikeouts, and 15th in earned run average. Alexa Harvey ranks 14th in earned run average, and Alex Abernathy ranks 2nd in saves. Defensively, Taylor Atwood is tied for 8th in runners thrown out stealing.
