Kearney, Neb. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team had no problems against future MIAA opponent, Nebraska-Kearney, on Tuesday afternoon as the Bearcats claimed a 7-2 victory. SBU now moves to 8-4 (2-0 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats picked up singles victories from
Domingos Carissimo,
Jorge Margiotta,
Kristof Kinal,
Jorge Palacios, and
Daniel Cardona while the doubles teams of Carissimo/Margiotta and Palacios/Welch also claimed victories. Carissimo/Margiotta took down the #2 team in the nation in doubles play with a hard faught 9-8 victory.
The Bearcats will return to action next Saturday, March 31 when they host William Jewell College. Play is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. from Bolivar.
