Emporia, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up their eighth straight victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating Emporia State 6-3. The Bearcats record now stands at 11-1 (4-0 MIAA).
The Bearcats provided strong play from all six positions, with each Bearcat collecting either a singles or doubles victory. Singles victories came from
Mehak Singh,
Adrienn Kovacs,
Andjela Panovski, and
Faiga Schmidt, while the doubles teams of Singh/
Fanni Varga and Panovski/
Crystal Guiot also picked up victories.
The Bearcats will quickly return to action tomorrow, March 18 when they take on Division I opponent Nebraska-Omaha. Play is set to begin 10:00 am.
