Topeka, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team opened up MIAA play with a 7-2 victory over Washburn. The Bearcats collected two doubles victories and five singles victories as they move to 5-4 (1-0 MIAA) on the season.

The Bearcats collected doubles victories from Domingos Carissimo/Jorge Margiotta and Kristof Kinal/Daniel Cardona, while Carissimo, Margiotta, Kinal, Cardona, and Jorge Palacios picked up singles victories for the Bearcats.

SBU will be back in action on Saturday, March 17 when they travel to Emporia State to take on the Hornets. Play is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
