Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University baseball team had a tough game against Central Oklahoma on Friday afternoon in Bolivar, dropping the contest 13-3 after 7 innings. Tyler Christophel had a solid game for the Bearcats, hitting a two-run home run and scoring a couple of runs, but it wasn't enough to propel SBU to a victory.

Central Oklahoma jumped out early on the Bearcats, scoring three runs in the top of the first before SBU would respond in the bottom half of the inning. The Bearcats had the bases loaded with no outs, when Christophel came across the plate on a double play, pulling SBU within 2 at 3-1. Central Oklahoma would then score 6 unanswered runs, before Christophel blasted a two-run home run to centerfield and pulling the Bearcats within reach once again. However, it wasn't enough as Central Oklahoma went on to the 13-3 victory.

The Bearcats will be back at it again tomorrow, Saturday March 17, for a double-header against Central Oklahoma. First pitch is set to be thrown at 12:00 pm from Dodson Field on the campus of SBU.
