The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot is in his eighth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 155-80 (.660) record. Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearances.

Bob Chipman, one of college basketball's winningest coaches, begins his 33rd season at the helm of the Ichabod basketball program. Chipman enters the season with a 696-288 (.709) overall record.

The Ichabods lead the all-time series against the Bearcats 30-16.

SBU Record Watch
SBU Head Coach Jeff Guiot has become the winningest coach in SBU history with his victory over Washburn University on January 3. Coach Guiot has collected 155 wins over his eight seasons as head coach.

SBU guard Ryan Dougherty has scored 1,238 points in his career as a Bearcat, and currently ranks 7th all-time on the SBU scoring list. Dougherty set the all-time SBU record for three-point baskets made, with his current record standing at 206, and has also recorded the most minutes played in SBU history with 2,962 minutes. Dougherty also currently ranks 7th in assists (298) and 6th in steals (130) in the SBU record books.

Scouting the Ichabods
Washburn comes into the game against the Bearcats with a 17-6 record and 11-4 in the MIAA. The Ichabods are coming off of a 78-68 victory against Central Missouri.

On the season, WU's scoring offense averages 72.1 points per game and their defense allows 61.9 points per game.

Will McNeill is the leading scorer for the Ichabods, averaging 20.2 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game. Martin Mitchell is the only other Ichabod scoring in double figures, averaging 10.4 points per game.
