SBU Men Look for Fourth Straight Win Against Truman State in the MIAA TV Network Game of the Week

- The Bearcats return home looking for their fourth straight victory against Truman State on Wednesday. The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot is in his eighth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 153-80 (.657) record. Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearances.

Matt Woodley became the 11th head coach in the program's history in 2011 and came to Truman following nine years of Division I coaching experience and two seasons at Waukee (Iowa) High School.

The Bearcats lead the all-time series against the Bulldogs 27-19.

SBU Record Watch
SBU Head Coach Jeff Guiot has become the winningest coach in SBU history with his victory over Washburn University on January 3. Coach Guiot has collected 153 wins over his eight seasons as head coach.

SBU guard Ryan Dougherty has scored 1,198 points in his career as a Bearcat, and currently ranks 9th all-time on the SBU scoring list. Dougherty set the all-time SBU record for three-point baskets made, with his current record standing at 202, and has also recorded the most minutes played in SBU history with 2,892 minutes. Dougherty also currently ranks 7th in assists (288) and 6th in steals (126) in the SBU record books.

Scouting the Bulldogs
Truman State comes into the game against the Bearcats with a 6-15 record and 4-10 in the MIAA. The Bulldogs are coming off of a 45-66 loss against Washburn.

On the season, TSU's scoring offense averages 66.4 points per game and their defense allows 70.3 points per game.

Seth Jackson is the leading scorer for the Bulldogs, averaging 12.1 points per game. Tom Norton (11.2) and Mike Carlson (10.1) are the only other Bulldogs scoring in double figures.
