SBU Women's Basketball Closes Out Home Portion of the Schedule Against Northwest Missouri

- The Bearcats conclude the home portion of their schedule when they battle the Bearcats of Northwest Missouri on Tuesday. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on 99.9 KBFL, and can be heard online at kbflfm.com. The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss is in his first season as the Bearcats head coach. Prior to coaching at SBU, Voss was an assistant coach at Division I Drake University where he helped lead his team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

Gene Steinmeyer is in his fifth season as head coach of the Northwest Missouri State women's basketball program. In his first four seasons, Hobson has led the Bearcats to a 140-145 record, with an appearance in the MIAA Tournament in Kansas City, Mo last season.

Northwest Missouri leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 29-21.

SBU in the MIAA
LaKendra Smith currently leads the MIAA in defensive rebounds, averaging 6.9 boards per game, and is 2nd in the MIAA in total rebounds per game (8.9). Smith also ranks 6th in field goal percentage (47.1%) and 12th in points per game (13.1). Chasity Prince is the leading three point percentage shooter in the conference at 53.3%, and Brittney Dukes ranks 11th in points per game (13.4).

Scouting the Bearcats
The Lady Bearcats come into the game against the Bearcats with a 5-21 overall record, and 3-15 in conference play.

The Lady Bearcats offense is averaging 60.3 points per game, while their defense is allowing 71.4 points per game. Abby Henry is the leading scorer for NWMSU, averaging 12.8 points per game.
