Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats return home for two MIAA match-ups, starting with Fort Hays State on Thursday. The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot is in his eighth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 155-81 (.657) record. Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Mark Johnson is in his 11th season as head coach of the Fort Hays State University men's basketball program. He has a career record of 207-89 in 10 seasons at Fort Hays State.
The series between the Tigers and the Bearcats is tied 6-6.
SBU Record Watch
SBU Head Coach Jeff Guiot has become the winningest coach in SBU history with his victory over Washburn University on January 3. Coach Guiot has collected 155 wins over his eight seasons as head coach.

Ryan Dougherty has scored 1,252 points in his career as a Bearcat, and currently ranks 7th all-time on the SBU scoring list. Dougherty set the all-time SBU record for three-point baskets made, with his current record standing at 209, and has also recorded the most minutes played in SBU history with 2,993 minutes. Dougherty also currently ranks 7th in assists (302) and 6th in steals (130) in the SBU record books.
Scouting the Tigers
Fort Hays comes into the game against the Bearcats with a 16-6 record, and 10-6 in MIAA conference play. The Tigers are coming off of a 67-66 victory over Central Missouri.
On the season, FHSU's scoring offense averages 69.8 points per game and their defense allows 64.3 points per game.
Moses Dayee is the leading scorer for the Tigers, averaging 11.1 points per game. Karron McKenzie (11.0), Tyrone Phillips (10.9), and Kendrick Morse (10.4) all average double-digit scoring for the Tigers.
