Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team dropped a heartbreaker against Northwest Missouri 3-2. Northwest Missouri took the first set 25-17 before SBU came back and took the second and third sets 25-14 and 26-24. Northwest then battled back and claimed a 3-2 victory by taking set four 25-18 and set five 15-12.
The Bearcats had four players collect double digit digs with
Hannah Blount leading the way with 27.
Mackynzi Gibson and 15,
Kaitlyn Allison 14, and
Kelsey Fankhauser had a double-double with 10 digs and a team high 26 assists. Offensively the Bearcats had two players with double figure kills with
Jordan Nedbalek and
Jenna Isaacs each recording 10.
The Bearcats will close out their 2012 season with a senior day match-up against Missouri Western. The game is set for Saturday, November 10th at 12:00 p.m.
