SBU Men's Basketball Set to Begin 4-Game Roadtrip at Missouri S&T on Saturday

Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats are set to begin a four game road trip on Saturday when they take on Missouri S&T. The Bearcats are coming off of their first win of the season, and will look to extend their win streak prior to heading to Washington for a pair of games.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot in his ninth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 158-86 (.648) record. Coach Guiot is the winningest coach in SBU history, has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and has three NCAA Tournament appearances.

Jim Glash goes into his fourth season as head coach of Missouri S&T's men's basketball team and will look to get the Miners into the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament for the second straight season and third time during his tenure. Glash's career record at Missoui S&T is 21-59.

SBU leads the all-time series against Missouri S&T 28-18, with the last victory coming in the 2011-12 season when SBU won at Bolivar 100-77.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats are fresh off their first victory of the season, and are led in scoring by Jaywuan Hill who averages 10.8 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. Preston Guiot also averages double-figures with 10.5 points per game and 4.8 assists per game, while Gilbert Gyamfi averages 8.8 ppg and Kyle Sloan averages 8.3 ppg.

Scouting the Miners
Missouri S&T comes into the match-up with the Bearcats 0-1 on the season after a 56-66 loss against Emporia State. The Miners had two players in double-figures in their opening day loss with Bryce Foster leading the way with 11 points and 8 rebounds, while Julian Johnson had 10 points.
